Company Background

InnovAsians is a development and manufacturing company located in Hong Kong.

InnovAsians’ business is the development and manufacturing of eco lifestyle products including textile products and garments or those of its customers along responsible supply chain parameters, while at the same time creating an awareness of ‘renewable materials, organic chic and eco natural in textile and garment manufacturing.
InnovAsians was founded in 2007 by Lizette Smook.

Lizette Smook - CEO and Founder

As an authority on sustainable textiles, Lizette Smook is a frequent speaker at major international textile conferences. Lizette recently spoke at the UNTAD / UNEP conference (UN) in Jakarta on 'The Impact of Fashion on Biodiversity'. A published author (The Competitiveness of the China Textile Apparel Manufacturing Industry, 2003), Smook is frequently quoted in regional media for her key insights on the positioning of the Asian textile supply base in the global market.

Lizette studied at Stellenbosch University in South Africa where she completed a Batchelor of Science Degree. In 1991 Lizette obtained her ATI (Associateship to the Textile Institute ) In Manchester UK, and in 2003 Lizette graduated at Henley Management College in Kent in the UK where she completed her general MBA while working for "Next plc" as a Senior Technical Manager in the Hong Kong Operation (Next Sourcing Limited). Over the past 25 years Lizette has worked for and made valuable contributions to Woolworths (South Africa), Nike (Asia Pacific Regional Office in Hong Kong) and Next Sourcing Limited (subsidiary of Next plc in Hong Kong).

Lizette has 27 years experience in Global Retail and Manufacturing. Over the years Lizette has acquired a network of relationships with suppliers across Asia, which allows Lizette to develop exclusive lifestyle, garments and textiles that are of the highest quality. Innovasians are involved in the raw materials and own the supply chain of their products. Through 'Added Value ' the product range is unique. Lizette is CEO of this unique company and has managed to obtain a blue chip customer base.

Mandy Leung - silent partner

Ms Mandy Leung is a HK native who spent 10 years of her life in Australia to further to her education and enrich her life experience. Ms Leung graduated from Macquarie University NSW with Bachelor of Economics majoring in Business Finance. She obtained Diploma from the Securities Institute of Australia and became Associate member of the Institute.

Ms Leung had 20 years of experience in the world of finance. She started her career as a fixed income fund manager in Australia and went on to work for several major international financial institutions in HK. Prior to joining Innovasians, Ms Leung spent 14 years as Director of Fixed Income Sales at HSBC specializing in the sales and distribution of fixed income instruments to institutional clients. Ms Leung helped HSBC to become the premium fixed income house in Asia.

Stephen Petith - Business Consultant
